Moroccan Sandalwood
Moroccan Sandalwood by Attar Bazaar is a tantalizingly spicy sandalwood. It is woody and herbal with notes of cinnamon spice. This sandalwood starts off sharp and then softens over time.
By comparison Arabian Sandalwood (best seller) is creamy with vanilla notes. Egyptian Sandalwood and Tunisian Sandalwood are cool, bright, citrus-y sandalwoods. Australian Sandalwood (also a best seller) is all natural, smooth, creamy, and herbal. Mysore Sandalwood is all natural, extremely rare, incredibly smoky and very woody. I've been a fan of Attar Bazaar for quite awhile now. On a previous order, I decided to take advantage of the samples they send out and hopefully find something new. The Moroccan Sandalwood came in the pack and it was love at first sniff!!! Most fragrances make me sneeze so I was so excited to find a scent I love. And I get so many compliments on it! My favorite sandalwood from Attar Bazaar I enjoy each of the sandalwood fragrance oils that Attar Bazaar sells, but this one is my favorite. At first I wasn't sure, because it starts out basically as a "standard" sandalwood fragrance oil, but the spice notes blend in after about a half hour and then the whole fragrance rounds out with a pleasant sweet creaminess. If Tunisian sandalwood is a powdery citrus scent, and Egyptian sandalwood is a floral, powdery and resinous scent, and Arabian sandalwood is a woody, creamy vanilla.... Moroccan sandalwood is the most wood-forward of the quartet. It's also very masculine. A winner!
